Configuring Payment Settings

Connecting online payments

From the Overview tab, find the "Set up payments" card and click Set Up Payments. This creates a Stripe Express account and takes you to Stripe's own onboarding flow to verify your identity and bank account.

• Under review (yellow card, "Payment setup under review"): Stripe is verifying your information, which usually takes 1-2 business days
• Ready (green card, "Payments set up ✅"): you can now collect rent online - use Manage Payment Settings any time to reach your Stripe Express dashboard

What it costs

LeaseLoop doesn't take a cut of rent payments. Stripe's own processing fee still applies and comes out before funds reach you - see the Understanding Payment Fees article for the exact numbers.

Setting your default late fee policy

In Settings (gear icon, top right), the Late Fee Policy card sets your Default Late Fee Amount and Default Grace Period (Days) - these pre-fill for every new unit you create, but won't change units you've already created (edit those individually if needed).
